Haggard Studios - The Story Behind the Scene

Jimmy Haggard is the founder of Haggard Studios.  Jimmy traveled around the United States' West Coast and Midwest, lived in Los Angeles California for over 20 years, and finally landed in Raleigh, North Carolina, playing in clubs, honky-tonks, dive bars, juke joints, roadhouses, grange halls, community halls and festivals along the way.  After moving to the Triangle and checking out the music scene, it did not take long for Jimmy to learn about the shortage of options for quality rehearsal studios and affordable recording studios in the Triangle. That was the beginning of the idea. 

In 2015, Jimmy Haggard offered Kevin Wilson an opportunity to own Haggard Studios.  Kevin wanted to continue to use the name Haggard Studios to honor what the founder started.  With Kevin's vision, the former recording studio transformed into a Showcase Studio, still offering audio recording, while adding live performance video services.

Kevin Wilson is an internationally recognized guitarist and music educator. With more than thirty-five years of experience in gospel, jazz, and rhythm and blues, his gift allows him to transcend all contemporary music genres of today.  Whether playing in-studio as a session guitarist, providing production input for live band sessions, mentoring guitar students across the globe, or providing private guitar instruction to high profile artists, Kevin gives his heart and passion to all of it.

Haggard Studios is located in north Raleigh, only 10 minutes from downtown Raleigh, 10 minutes from Wake Forest, and 20-25 minutes from Durham, south Raleigh, and west Raleigh.

Recording Studio and Services

Haggard Studios provides personal face-to-face experience, where we work with you to produce professional high quality recordings suitable for professional and hobby uses.  Before you start a recording project with Haggard Studios South, we take a personal approach by speaking with you about your expected project outcome. The sound you are looking for will determine your the budget for your project. If studio session musicians are needed, Haggard Studios South has relationships with some of the best musicians on the east coast and perhaps the world.

State-of-the-Art Analog and Digital Technologies

Haggard Studios uses state-of-the-art analog and digital technologies for recording, tracking, mixing and mastering your music. A lot of people love digital recording technologies.  So do we.  We also love analog.  Why?  We ran isolation tests, comparing analog-to-digital chains against pure digital chains, and the results were not even close.  The audio quality from a pure digital recording chain did not come close to the quality of running a hybrid analog/digital setup.  That is why, at Haggard Studios South, absolutely everything goes through our control board before it hits the digital technology chain.  Haggard Studios South has an assortment of excellent equipment for you to use for your recording project, or you can bring in your own.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to studio time becoming a premium service, Haggard Studios has had to change its cancellation policy.  We are no longer able to provide refunds.  Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours prior to a scheduled session.  These cancellations will be given a credit for scheduling at a date in the future. This credit will be redeemable for up to one year from the cancellation. Any cancellations not made 24 hours before the scheduled session will not be refunded nor will it be given credit.  Any no show for a scheduled session will not be refunded nor will it be given credit.
